This reading plan follows The Bible in a Year podcast by Fr. Mike Schmitz from Ascension Press. It uses the Great Adventure Bible Timeline approach developed by Jeff Cavins.

How it works: The plan identifies 14 narrative books that tell the story of Scripture from beginning to end. The remaining books are contextualized within this storyline. The Bible is divided into 12 time periods, each with a distinct color.

Each day includes 2-3 Scripture passages plus a Psalm or Proverb for prayer and reflection. Readings shown in bold are from the 14 narrative books.
